Victorious, Fruitful Witness

How many of us are “performing” the Christian life? Is being a Christian a real experience for you? Has it changed your lifestyle? Have you made the wonderful discovery of supernatural life? Or have you felt something is missing from your Christian life? Do you know the joy and power of the Holy Spirit? Are you a witness for Christ? If not, I have good news. You can be!  Bill Bright

These questions were posed by Bill Bright, the father of Campus Crusade for Christ, in his book The Holy Spirit—The Key to Supernatural Living. They made me ask myself if I was just living in the Holy Place, just one step past the Outer Court … at the foot of the Cross … just slightly beyond being saved. Have I failed to enter into His Rest? These are great questions to keep in mind as we move into the reality of the Holy Spirit. The one who is always with us.

Heb 13:5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Yes, God promised us that He would never leave us, but have we promised never to leave Him? Are we allowing the world with all its influences, temptations, and chaos to distract us from the very presence of the One who was sent to help us? In today’s chaotic world the bride of Christ is under attack in America as never before and it is only going to increase as the enemy is advancing on all sides. Victory will only be found in His Word as revealed and empowered by His Spirit as we … “perform” the Christian life …  Living the Life we have been given in the Holy Spirit … Jesus’ Life. It’s our choice, a moment-by-moment commitment to obediently follow His leading, ever keeping the vision in sight and becoming a Victorious, Fruitful Witness:

Rom 8:29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. ESV
