Don’t Lose Sight

In the midst of all of the chaos and confusion surrounding us today we are in danger of losing the vision that God has given us. We risk opening the door for the enemy to push us further away from the leading of the Holy Spirit. That’s when we stop expecting to hear from God and become reckless. Some powerful and personal thoughts from Oswald Chambers …

Prov 29:18 … where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, ESV

Where there is no vision …  When once we lose sight of God, we begin to be reckless, we cast off the vision of God in little things, and begin to act on our own initiative. If we are eating what we have out of our own hand, doing things on our own initiative without expecting God to come in, we are on the downward path, we have lost the vision. Is our attitude today an attitude that springs from our vision of God? Are we expecting God to do greater things than He has ever done? Is there a freshness and vigor in our spiritual outlook?” Oswald Chambers

How’s your vision … still in focus?

  1. I think that this is one of the most powerful scriptures in the Word for leadership. I believe it is in the human DNA to desire to follow leaders who have a ‘vision’, and as you mention, stay focused on that vision. So many Biblical examples as well.
Thank you for the ‘call to attention’ to stay the course, and keeping our eyes, and focus, on God, and His « Call » in our lives!
