Having just finished the celebration of the birth of our Lord, our Saviour, our Bridegroom, we now turn to the new year that lies just ahead of us. When the clock strikes 12 (if we’re still awake) we all welcome it with the traditional shout… Happy New Year.
This year let’s all take a moment and not be too hasty with our shout. We need to slow down and let the words flow a little softer, a little slower, and with a little more commitment.
Ashar Hadhash Teshuvath Hashannah
As you consider the meaning of these four Hebrew words, let them become your focus, your desire, and your commitment in 2015.
Go straight (advance)
With a better vision of your existing state
At the time when kings go out to battle
Wherever you are in your relationship with the One who was born on Christmas Day, move straight ahead next year with the vision of seeing a much closer relationship by this time next year, and keep in mind that it will not happen without going to battle and making it happen. We have His Promise to follow, His Word to hold onto, and His Spirit to lead us into victory.
From all of us at WalkWithGod Ministries, it’s our prayer that 2015 will be a year in which your spirit becomes more mature as you move straight ahead into the battle. Ashar Hadhash Tshuvath Hashannah!
