What Did You Do?

It is true that the soul which has once rooted itself in Christ can never lose all the brightness of its King. Once the splendid Son of Righteousness has come into the central throne room (the throne of our heart), the castle can never lose its bright glory. And yet, by our foolish neglect, and by our willful sins, we drape the whole castle with a black pall. Teresa of Avila

I wrote the Wake Up And Rest series in response to the Lord’s words to Solomon:

2 Chron 7:10 … IF” my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

The world, and particularly America, is at a critical crossroad. God is calling out to His people here in America — His Son’s bride — to wake up and step into the breach. If we do not, then the lost in our great country have no chance because they are looking to their earthly government to solve their problems … A government that does not and never will have the true answer.

We have been given a time to impact His kingdom both now and forever and we cannot afford to waste any of it. As the bride of Christ, we are the people God is calling to with a clear message. We are the “IF” in the equation. We cannot afford to fail Him by turning away at this critical moment in history. His return is so close … “all” the signs are now present and we see them every day.

What we need to do is listen and hear God’s Word with an open heart and act upon it with simple faith. There are incredible blessings and rewards here and now as well as forever that are predicated on what we do with the life, the gifts, the graces, and the blessings He has given us.

Everyone wants to hear those awesome words at the Judgement Seat of Christ … Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master. But before that comes the question … “What did you do with what you were given?”
